This is an article I wrote in answer to my article "Gore's gloval-warming hype a big chash scheme." Patrick Clark wrote I needed to get my facts straight that she belonged to the "Union of Concerned Scientists". Also a few other letters that had been written not so much at what I wrote, but information I felt was wrong and needed to be touched on. My article had to be cut down it was too long, but I am publishing my origional draft. Enjoy
Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, a PHD in ecology, resigned after six years, noting his fellow directors were either political activists or enviornmental entrepreneurs. Mr. Moore said we all have a responsibility to be enviormental stewards, but good steward ship should come from science and not a political agenda.
Jessica Miller, community columnist, 4-11-08 wrote she was upset because Rep. Bob Bethell made the statement, he didn't believe in Global Warming. Well I say, good for him.
John R Christy, climatetologist, says it is not a proven fact CO2 causes Global Warming, in fact CO2 comes after warming has occured.
Stephen Johnson, of the EPA, wants more time in making any decision on the effect of CO2, thank goodness, a clear thinking government employee. Regulation of CO2, a plant food, is about control of our life style. Why are the enviornmentalists and the Dems so adament about control?
Union of Concerned Scientist, is critized by Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center. Their stance is not based on scientific research, they are a "unlabled left-wing activist group."
S Fred Singer, physicist, Professor Emeritus at the University of Virginia said UCS has "zero creditibility as a scientific organization, "they are more akin to pressure groups like Greenpeace."
John Stossel, co-anchor at ABC news show 20/20 said "The key word in Union of Concerned Scientists isnt Scientists" you need no degree to join, but "Conerned" in question, are decidley left wing.
Dennis Byrne, op-ed columnist for the Chicago Tribune decribed UCS as "inexhaustibly liberal and self appointed guardian of scientific purity, who try to corrupt science for it't own ends."
Myron Ebell, Competitive Enterprise Institute stated UCS name suggests every one involved is some kind of objective scientist, but they are leftist political activists and (FACTS) mean very little to them.
To clear up the facts about Kyoto for Patrick Clark. Big Al signed the Protocal in 1997, after Congress passed a ruling that nothing was to be signed. Bubba Boy never submitted the agreement to Congress. There was no agreement for President Bush to sign, the Clinton admistration signed it but in their remaining three years in office, never sent it to Congress. Why?
My only motivitation was to learn what Global Warming was. The more I read, the more I studied it became obvious. There is a whole convoluted plan, first scare everybody with wild castrophic events, than implement a plan for control over our energy-which is control over out economy!
